Midsummer
This took a WHILE lmao I think it looks pretty good besides the very slight artifacts in the light beams but it is what it is ;))) The building data is taken from a Osaka in Japan. Idk why I took it from specifically there but ITS JUST SO COOL GWARGHUAGH. Make sure to stream it LOADS 💕
Dawn
After 5 months, I finally found time to upload yet ANOTHER absolute banger. I'm not gonna lie, I'm seriously proud of this one. The composition is some of my best, and the switch-up midway through absolutely HITS!!! The music video for this one got tanked by youtube compression, so don't look at the clouds please 🙏. Go stream this song!!!!
Flight
This song was so fun to make! I really love getting to combine my 3D design skills and my music production skills into an amazing music video for you guys to jam to. Please forgive me if the time between releases gets longer, as I'm focusing more on my education and getting the qualifications to do this as a profession! The scenery in this project was wild, and I'm so stunned to see it turned out as I imagined it. This is probably one of the clearest translations from my mind onto the screen and out of the speakers!
Gravity
Gravity is a bit of a different one in my discography. Usually I stick to (groovy) chill songs that have a (really groovy) premise of joy (and grooviness) about their style. But with this song, I decided to go full on EDM and hit you guys with an actual dubstep drop, while maintaining my sound design ofcourse. This was honestly a really cool step outside of my musical comfort zone, and I really hope you guys enjoyed the (groovy) atmosphere of the song!
Skyline
This song is one of my sadder songs. It uses the Rolling Road chord progression which you'll hear in most Japanese anime intros, which ties perfectly with my sound design because it uses 7th chords. If you listen really closely, the pitch of the whole song shifts down by a halftone with every chorus. This means that at the end of the song, you'll be down by a whole 2 notes with the 4 choruses. When you (hopefully🙃) play the song again, you'll hear the difference in pitch between the start and end.
Eventide
Easily one of my best songs, bringing guitar and saxophone into a beautiful harmony. Taking inspiration from an artist called Dominic Fike, and ofcourse putting my own jazzy spin to it, has created undoubtedly the grooviest and most danceable song from my discography. I also added a harmonica in there purely for fun.
Winter
This was my first music video in 3D! My months of practice have finally paid off and the result is a beautiful landscape of clouds revolving around a spruce winter tree. This will probably be the first of many music videos that are made in 3D software because honestly it's quite fun to do, and it enhances the overall quality of my songs because you not only have a cool tune to listen to, but you also have some cool animations to watch.
Symphony
I spent so long on this song!! I remember finishing off with it and then noticing that a whole month has passed! Time really does fly when you're having fun. This is one of my more orchestral pieces, with violin, alto saxophone and my signature piano, with kit drums, not processed ones that I usually use. And of course there is some cool synths in the background to make it feel more full and spacey. The saxophone solo near the end is really what makes this song worth listening to. I'm not gonna spoil it, go stream it on Spotify!
Iridescence
If you listen to Iridescence enough times, it will start sounding really really sad, especially the ending. I realised this when I was producing it. I started making this song, and I wanted it to be a really happy one, but further down the line when I finished the melodies, mastered the audio, and listened one more time before publishing, it sounded inconsolable and downcast. I'm not sure why this is, but nonetheless its an overall amazing song otherwise.
Gradient
I took heavy inspiration from the artist that produces music for a game called "Phogs!", because it has a laid-back, ripply kind of feel. The rippling characteristic is what inspired the cover art of the song, as it resembles the kind of waves that appear when you touch water. There are 3 solos in the song, flute, saxophone, and rhodes (basically piano) and the three ripples on the cover art represent each one of these solos.
Horizon
While making Horizon, I was inspired by an amazing saxophonist called Creo to incorporate the instrument into the song. This actually came quite late in the song, otherwise the main lead would be my trademarked Piano™. I'm actually really glad I didn't use piano, because I'm currently exploring a wide variety of instruments and how to use them. The song above will probably have flute.
Sapphire
Upon starting Sapphire, I wanted to make a lo-fi song, which stands for "low fidelity" meaning calm and chill. I'm not sure if I actually achieved that though, but I'm really proud of it nonetheless. The melody in the middle section of the song is inspired by Cosmic War by Exyl and Creo, go check that out!
Nebula
Before I produced Nebula, I had just discovered an artist called JVKE, and his style used banging drums and orchestral instruments. Since my style was similar, using the orchestra, I decided to try and make a song with loud, saturated drums like Jake does with his songs. It turned out amazing, and I'm very happy I found a new style of music to make.
Summer
When producing Summer, my music software was bugging out really badly and the song ended up taking over a month to finish and master. I really think it paid off though, as it has accumilated over 150 streams on all platforms! I used trumpet in this song for the first time and I couldn't be happier on how it performed.
Reflector
Reflector was actually meant to be made as a joke for a friend, but I ended up uploading it because it sounded really nice. He helped me make the song and if you stream it you'll see his artist name. The arpeggio near the beginning and throughout the song kinda sounds like the Stranger Things intro music, but it's differentiated enough to give the song it's own atmoshpere.
Maroon
I got the idea and the inspiration for Maroon from listening to Ping by an artist called Exyl. The chord progression is similar but apart from that all the other production ideas came from me and my brother. I also incorperated 6 memes in Maroon because I was watching a meme compilation and thought it was funny.
Lycoris
Me and my older brother were watching a popular anime called "Lycoris Recoil", and I hadn't heard of the word 'Lycoris' before, so I thought it was really cool sounding. This song is the first song I produced with violin in it, and I came to really like the instrument and continue to use it in further songs.
Constellation
Constellation is probably my least favourite original song that I've made, and very understandably the least popular original song I've released. It sounded really good in the Studio, but when exported something went wrong with the mixing. I could never find out what caused it, and just decided to upload it as it was.
Red Sky
This is the very first original song I've uploaded and I absolutely love it! From the chord progression to the piano to the guitar at the start! By far my favourite original song. And when I finished it and exported it, I looked out my window, the sky was a bright red sunset. That's how I named it.
